An eco-chic alternative to bottled water, the Canadian-designed OVOPUR water-filtration system draws water through a filter cartridge in the top unit into an 11 L-capacity porcelain reservoir. Without the top unit, the egg-shaped base alone can also be used as a beverage dispenser. The unique shape of an egg and the thermal properties of porcelain help preserve and revitalize water, and the sleek curves and total absence of right angles allow water to flow freely and naturally. Temperature differences and normal flow induce a biotic movement that prevents stagnation, reduces the risk of bacteria buildup, and helps to revitalize the water. Although the OVOPUR unit is an investment, given the price tag, it definitely makes a statement in a contemporary, eco-friendly kitchen.
